David Tennant and Caissie Levy Lead New National Theatre at Home Season
A Powerful Lineup Streaming Worldwide
The National Theatre at Home platform welcomes a stellar new winter lineup featuring David Tennant, Caissie Levy, and Juliet Stevenson in a trio of acclaimed productions.
From 25 November 2025, Tennant stars in GOOD, a gripping revival exploring morality and complicity in wartime Germany. The production, filmed at the Harold Pinter Theatre, also features Elliot Levey and Sharon Small, directed by Dominic Cooke.
From 2 December, Next to Normal joins the platform, starring Caissie Levy as Diana Goodman in Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey’s Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical, filmed at Wyndham’s Theatre.
Soon after, The Land of the Living, starring Juliet Stevenson, premieres online — a haunting new play by David Lan, directed by Stephen Daldry, exploring trauma, memory, and moral reckoning.
Bringing Theatre Home
Launched in 2020, National Theatre at Home now features over 100 productions, offering access to world-class theatre for global audiences. Subscriptions are £9.99 per month or £99.99 annually, with all titles available with captions and most with Audio Description.

David Tennant and Cush Jumbo’s Macbeth to be Released in Cinemas
Trafalgar Releasing, in collaboration with the Donmar Warehouse, has announced the cinema release of Macbeth, starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo. This sold-out production, currently playing in London's West End, will be screened in cinemas across the UK, US, Australia, and select international locations starting February 5, 2025. Directed by Max Webster, this critically acclaimed performance was filmed live at the Donmar Warehouse.
Tickets for the cinema release go on sale October 16 at MacbethDonmarCinema.com.
Tim Sheader, Artistic Director of the Donmar, and Executive Director Henny Finch expressed excitement over the production's expanded reach, saying, “We are thrilled that this innovative staging of Macbeth will reach even more audiences beyond its original run. It’s exciting to think that thousands of viewers globally will get to experience this unique, immersive production in cinemas.”
Trafalgar Releasing’s CEO, Marc Allenby, highlighted the continued success of theatre in cinemas, remarking that, “Theatre remains a key driver of cinema box office, and working with the Donmar to bring Macbeth to global audiences further broadens our cultural content portfolio.”
The production, with David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) as Macbeth and Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife, Criminal Record) as Lady Macbeth, has garnered rave reviews. The Daily Telegraph called it "enthralling," while The Guardian praised its "wolfish imagination and alarming surprise." The live cinema screening will capture the intense and brutal pace of this tragic tale of ambition, power, and fate, enhanced by immersive 5.1 surround sound.
The production also features Moyo Akandé as Ross, Cal MacAninch as Banquo, and Rona Morison as Lady Macduff, along with a host of seasoned performers, many with extensive theatre, television, and film credits.
The Donmar Warehouse, renowned for its intimate staging and groundbreaking productions, has teamed up once again with Trafalgar Releasing to bring theatre to a global audience. The Greatest Showman Musical Announces Star-Studded Cast for Spectacular UK Stage Premiere
The stage is set for one of the most anticipated musical theatre premieres in recent memory, The Greatest Showman is officially coming to the UK stage. The spectacular new adaptation of the 2017 hit film will debut at the Bristol Hippodrome, bringing the story of P.T. Barnum to life with all the energy, heart, and magic that made the movie a global phenomenon.
Leading the cast is acclaimed West End star Oliver Tompsett (& Juliet, We Will Rock You) as showman P.T. Barnum, alongside Samantha Barks (Frozen, Les Misérables) as Charity Barnum. Joining them are Lorna Courtney (& Juliet Broadway) as Anne Wheeler, Ben Joyce (Jersey Boys) as Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch as Jenny Lind, and Malinda Parris (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) as Lettie Lutz.
The musical will feature a powerhouse creative team, including Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw, whose dynamic work on The Book of Mormon and Aladdin has dazzled audiences worldwide. The beloved score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land) and a new book by Tim Federle promise to bring both familiarity and freshness to this dazzling stage spectacle.
In a statement, Nicholaw shared:
“It’s an absolute joy to finally share our incredible cast with the world — led by the brilliant Oliver Tompsett and Samantha Barks. Together with a world-class creative team, we are so excited to bring this story to life for the first time on stage.”
The full company features a remarkable ensemble of singers, dancers, and circus performers, including Mia Raggio, Angelica Pearl Scott, Harly Gill, Ellie McArdle, Eleanor Sebastian, Max Bispham, and Joel Tennant Clark Young. Josh St. Clair serves as the P.T. Barnum alternate, with Katie Tonkinson as the standby Anne Wheeler.
Behind the scenes, the creative lineup includes Alex Lacamoire (music supervision and orchestrations), David Korins (scenic design), Gregg Barnes and Sky Switser (costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), and Peter Hylenski (sound design), alongside a host of award-winning designers and choreographers ensuring every moment shines.
This world-premiere production of The Greatest Showman is poised to deliver everything audiences love about the original film- breathtaking visuals, heart-stirring music, and an inspiring story of courage and self-belief- now reimagined for the stage.
