A Story of Dreams, Scandal and Determination
The production will star the powerhouse vocalist Lucy Thomas in the title role, with further casting to be announced soon. Rosie tells the extraordinary true story of Miss Rosie Boote, a convent-raised girl from Ireland who dared to chase her dream of performing on the West End stage in Edwardian London. Her journey unfolds as one of passion, scandal and fierce ambition – the kind of story that defines the golden era of musical theatre.
Lucy Thomas, who first captured the nation’s attention on The Voice Kids, has since built an impressive global following. Her studio albums, released through Cavendish Records, showcase a remarkable range that makes her the perfect choice to bring Rosie Boote’s story to life.
A studio cast album, released in 2024, introduced audiences to the show’s sweeping melodies and emotional storytelling. Tracks such as Starlight, Suddenly and Broken Dreams have already won multiple International Songwriting Awards, hinting at a musical rich with emotional depth and theatrical flair.
Created by Chris Broom, Rosie is produced by Cavendish Productions, Paul Morrissey Ltd, and Darren Bell Productions. This exclusive West End gala promises to be one of the most exciting London theatre events of 2026 – a must-see for lovers of new musicals and inspiring true stories alike.
