Japanese cast of SIX The Musical performing on the Vaudeville Theatre stage

Six The Musical has welcomed its Japanese cast to London ahead of a special week of performances at the Vaudeville Theatre from 4 to 9 November. The production will be performed entirely in Japanese with English captions, marking a first for the West End.

The Japanese Queens, following successful seasons in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, were introduced on the Vaudeville stage by producer Kenny Wax and Hiroko Murata of Umeda Arts Theater, alongside writers Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. Later, they visited the National Portrait Gallery for an engaging her-story lesson, exploring the portraits of the original Tudor queens.

Hiroko Murata said,
“To see our Japanese Queens stand on a London stage, in the heart of the West End, was an unforgettable experience. This collaboration between Umeda Arts Theater and Kenny Wax Productions has been a bridge between our two cultures.”
Fans will have the chance to take part in Japanese language and manga workshops inspired by the show, adding an immersive cultural experience to the already electrifying musical theatre event.
