The Roald Dahl Story Company has officially announced the full cast and 2026 UK tour dates for Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile the Musical, the wickedly funny stage adaptation of Dahl’s much-loved children’s classic. The show will bring its larger-than-life jungle adventure to audiences across the UK, starting with a Christmas season at The Lowry, Salford from 10 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
Leading the cast is Chelsea Da Silva as The Enormous Crocodile, making her professional theatre debut. She will be joined by Precious Abimbola as Trunky the Elephant, Jordan Eskeisa as Humpy Rumpy the Hippopotamus, Ciara Hudson as Roly Poly Bird, Marienella Phillips as Muggle Wump the Monkey, and René Francalanza as Swing.
Following the Salford run, the production will open its UK tour at Theatre Royal Brighton on 27 March 2026 before visiting more than 15 cities, including a much-anticipated four-week London engagement at the Lyric Hammersmith.
After acclaimed runs at Leeds Playhouse and Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, The Enormous Crocodile the Musical continues to captivate audiences of all ages. The show is also currently delighting families in the United States, with performances in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

Audiences will follow the sneaky Enormous Crocodile as he slithers through the jungle, plotting his secret tricks in search of tasty young prey. But the other animals are ready to foil his plans with courage, wit, and heart.
This joyous musical, bursting with puppetry, colour, and rhythm, features music by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, a book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, and additional music and lyrics by Tom Brady. Developed and directed by Emily Lim, with puppetry by co-director Toby Olié, the creative team includes set and costume design by Fly Davis, choreography by Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu, lighting by Jessica Hung Han Yun, and sound design by Tom Gibbons.
Originally co-produced by the Roald Dahl Story Company, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, and Leeds Playhouse, the show celebrates Dahl’s trademark humour and imagination through toe-tapping musical theatre magic. With a talented cast and creative team, The Enormous Crocodile the Musical promises to be a must-see family experience in London and across the UK.
