The spell has well and truly been cast at London’s Kiln Theatre. Due to overwhelming demand, the world premiere of Coven- a bold new British musical, has announced an extended run, now booking until 17 January 2026.

With music and lyrics by Rebecca Brewer and Grammy Award-winner Daisy Chute, and direction by Olivier Award-winning Miranda Cromwell, Coven revisits the infamous Pendle Witch Trials through a modern and deeply human lens.

Set in 1612 Lancashire, the musical tells the haunting story of nine-year-old Jennet, whose accusations of witchcraft against her own family echo through time. Twenty-one years later, she finds herself on the other side of the bars, confronting the truth, her past, and the power of belief.

Featuring a powerful cast led by Allyson Ava-Brown, Gabrielle Brooks, Shiloh Coke and Diana Vickers, Coven blends soulful harmonies with striking theatrical imagery, creating a musical experience that is as emotionally stirring as it is visually spellbinding.

Director Miranda Cromwell’s interpretation explores themes of truth, faith and female resilience, transforming one of England’s darkest chapters into a stirring story of courage and solidarity.

The extension follows rave reviews and sold-out performances, positioning Coven as one of the most talked-about new works in London musical theatre. With its haunting score, feminist heart and historical edge, this is a production set to linger long after the final note.
