A Terrifying Theatrical Experience Arrives in London

Get ready for a spine-tingling addition to London’s West End as the stage adaptation of Paranormal Activity prepares for its haunting debut. Casting has now been announced, featuring Melissa James reprising her acclaimed role as Lou, alongside Pippa Winslow as Carolanne and Jackie Morrison as Etheline Cotgrave. They are joined by Ronan Raftery as James, with Cheyenne Dasri and Jake Solari as understudies.

Performances begin at the Ambassadors Theatre on 5 December 2025, with the run now extended through 28 March 2026 due to strong demand. Directed by Felix Barrett, founder of Punchdrunk and pioneer of immersive theatre, and written by Levi Holloway, the production promises to deliver a uniquely terrifying live experience inspired by the hit film franchise.

Ronan Raftery, known for roles in Fantastic Beasts and Mary Page Marlowe, leads a powerhouse cast. Melissa James, whose credits include Moulin Rouge! and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, returns to the role that electrified Leeds Playhouse audiences.

Barrett’s direction is expected to blur the line between audience and performer, bringing the psychological tension of the original film into the intimate setting of live theatre. With sound design by Gareth Fry, illusions by Chris Fisher, and set design by Fly Davis, this production redefines what a horror story can feel like on stage.

A collaboration between Simon Friend & Hanna Osmolska for Melting Pot and Leeds Playhouse, Paranormal Activity transforms the found-footage horror into a new, deeply immersive experience for theatre audiences. Promises to be a must-see event for anyone who loves a good scare and a groundbreaking moment for London’s musical and immersive theatre scene.
