West End favourite Alexandra Burke is set to shine in one of the most exciting new musical theatre productions of 2026. The award-winning performer will step into the shoes of global icon Chaka Khan in I’m Every Woman: The Chaka Khan Musical, opening at London’s Peacock Theatre from 5 to 28 March 2026.
Alexandra said:
“Almost seventeen years ago, with my late mother by my side, I sang Chaka for my very first non-televised audition for The X Factor. To think that all these years later I’ve been given the opportunity to play the superstar that is Chaka Khan in the West End would have been simply unimaginable for me back then.”
Joining Burke is a powerhouse cast including Jordan Frazier as alternate Chaka Khan, Paige Peddie as Taka Boom, and Charlotte St Croix as Milini Khan and Whitney Houston. The show will be directed by Racky Plews, with choreography by Ebony Clarke and a book by Nia T. Hill.
The production will explore Chaka Khan’s incredible life, from her rise to fame and her fight for creative freedom to her resilience through personal and professional challenges. Featuring beloved hits like “Ain’t Nobody,” “I Feel For You,” and “I’m Every Woman,” this new London musical promises to be both inspiring and electrifying.
